Gudi Exports has installed Rooftop Solar Panels to harness solar energy. It has installed separate solar panels for its hot water requirements for ironing of garments.
For the treatment of effluents, Gudi has Effluent Treatment Plant and the treated water is reused for sanitation purposes.
Gudi Exports has taken many initiatives, in the past few years, to reduce carbon footprints.
-
Solar Panels of 182 KW capacity have been installed at the rooftop of the factory. 50% of the total requirement of electricity is being generated from the solar panels.
-
The electricity generated from Solar Panels is being used for preheating water.
-
The Recycled water is being used for washrooms and gardening.
-
Hazardous materials like fused tube lights, used machine oil and ETP sludge are disposed off in a responsible manner using Government nominated service providers.
-
Rain Water Harvesting is done to conserve water.
-
Natural Gas is used in the boiler and Tumbler to reduce air pollution.
-
Papers are reused to save trees. Used papers are converted to small notebooks – called Second Life Note Pads to save trees.
-
Recycled poly bags are used which are biodegradable.
-
End pieces of fabrics are used to make cloth bags.
-
LED Lights are used at the Production Floors and Factory to save energy
-
Using low watt fans for low electricity consumption.
-
UBT machines with Direct Drive motors are being used for stitching – these machines save 85% electricity compared to traditional stitching machines.
-
Regular maintenance of machines is done to conserve energy.
-
Pressure water taps are used to reduce water usage.
-
Steam is recycled for hot water
-
RO waste water is used in toilets.
Reuse, recycle and conservation:
-
ETP filters the washing machines water before it goes out. Regular checking of pH is done.
-
Papers are reused to save trees.
-
Rain harvesting water systems are used to conserve water..
